Legendary Lebanese singer Fairuz attended the funeral of her son, renowned composer and playwright, Ziad Rahbani, at a church in a town north of Beirut, in her first public appearance in years.

Lebanese famous writer and composer Ziad Rahbani, son of the country's diva Fairuz, has died aged 69, Lebanese news agency said on Saturday. Rahbai is considered one of the most influential innovators in Lebanese music and satirical political theatre.
