Zack Wheeler's case for his first National League Cy Young Award took another hit on Saturday afternoon. The Phillies' ace allowed three home runs for the first time in more than a year in a 7-5 loss to the Tigers at Citizens Bank Park.

Tarik Skubal won his first game since June and Javier Baez homered, doubled and knocked in four runs as the Tigers beat the Phillies 7-5.

The Phillies finally broke through against Skubal in the bottom of the seventh. After six shutout innings and 10 strikeouts, Skubal gave up a single to Bryce Harper, a double to J.T. Realmuto, and a two-run homer to Nick Castellanos to cut the lead to 5-3.
