Will YouTube TV work out a new deal with NBCUniversal before it's too late, and viewers lose access to channels?

NBCUniversal has launched digital attack ads against YouTube TV telling viewers they risk losing their ‘favourite shows and channels’ as it seeks leverage in negotiations with the streamer.

Primary school pupils in Glasgow have been blocked from accessing YouTube on school iPads due to a number of children watching violent content on the devices. Glasgow City Council informed parents of the decision by letter, and said it needed to ensure viewable content was "age and stage appropriate."

The report suggests that a blackout of NBC channels could happen. Which, obviously, would remove Sunday Night Football from the slate of offerings.

Subscribers of YouTube TV may lose access to live sports from NBC. According to CNBC, the YouTube TV-NBCUniversal deal is set to expire at the end of September, meaning live sports such as college football and the NFL that air on NBC could no longer be seen on the platform.

The decision to let users hide end screens is a welcome addition to the platform, especially since they can end up covering the last bit of a video and make it hard to see what's happening in some cases.
