The Dallas Wings announced Sunday they traded 2024 Most Improved Player winner DiJonai Carrington to the Minnesota Lynx.

The WNBA-leading Lynx have acquired DiJonai Carrington in a trade from Dallas. The Lynx sent Diamond Miller, Karlie Samuelson and a second-round pick in 2027 to the Wings. WCCO’s Henry Lake says the move solidifies the Lynx as championship favorites.

Carrington, who was acquired via trade from the Connecticut Sun in the offseason, is averaging 10.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. Last year, she was named the WNBA’s Most Improved Player and was a member of the All-Defense team.
