Resilience Healthcare acquired both Weiss and West Suburban Medical Center out of bankruptcy in 2022. Both facilities depend on Medicare or Medicaid to pay for 70% to 80% of their patients.

An emailed statement from Weiss Memorial last night said the ER would close this morning, and therefore the hospital would be closed, but ambulatory services would remain open in the adjacent medical office building.
