Palestinian health officials and witnesses say at least five people were killed by Israeli fire as they headed toward two aid distribution points in the Gaza Strip run by an Israeli and U.S.

Nearly 50 people have been reported killed and 300 others wounded in incidents near the Israeli-backed distribution center, which was designed to keep food out of the hands of Hamas.
