The Bay Area and much of the Northern California coast remain under a tsunami advisory as of Wednesday morning after the massive 8.8 magnitude earthquake sent waves across the Pacific. Tsunami warnings were issued for Hawaii,

Waves were reported along a wide swath of the Northern California coast, including in San Francisco. The rest of the state was under a lesser tsunami advisory.

Hawaii Governor Josh Green has urged residents to evacuate all coastal areas immediately, warning that tsunami waves will "wrap around the islands."
