A Montana dad has died after falling from a chairlift at a local ski resort. Authorities said Jeffrey Zinne of Billings was alone on a ski lift at Red Lodge Mountain just before noon on Monday, March 10, when he fell to the ground, according to the Associated Press and Longview News-Journal .

A Montana snowboarder, husband, and father to a beautiful two-year-old boy, has sadly and tragically lost his life after a chairlift malfunctioned at the Red Lodge Mountain Ski Resort, causing the 37-year-old to fall from an ‘unspecified height.

He died after a fall from the Triple Chair at Red Lodge Mountain, Sheriff McQuillan said Friday, adding that the accident remains under investigation. He was life-flighted to a hospital in Billings, where he died on Wednesday, according to Esther Jensen, a GoFundMe organizer raising funds for his family.
