Newcomer Nestor Cortes will follow Opening Day starter Freddy Peralta during the Brewers’ season-opening at Yankee Stadium, manager Pat Murphy confirmed Saturday, but after that, the Brewers were facing some tough decisions in their starting rotation.

Tobias Myers left his start against the Los Angeles Angels with left oblique discomfort. The right-hander felt something as he threw a pitch in the second inning and immediately motioned to the Brewers’ dugout. Myers was then removed from the game after a brief talk with the training staff.

Unfortunately, the Milwaukee Brewers haven't been able to avoid the injury bug. After losing 5th starter candidates DL Hall and Aaron Ashby early on in camp, now it appears the Brewers will be losing one of their solidified mid-rotation options in Tobias Myers.

The Brewers, who have dealt with a rash of pitching injuries over the last year, have now lost Tobias Myers to an oblique issue.
