MAGA excitement for the potential cancellation of the show is not without encouragement from Trump’s administration. FCC Chairman Brendan Carr refused to deny on Fox News that The View is in Trump’s “crosshairs,” saying on Wednesday that “the consequences” for the Behar’s verbal insults of the president “aren’t quite finished.”
A spokesperson for The View responded by claiming that it is “up in total viewers and women 18-49, versus the comparable weeks last season, to its most-watched in four years,” adding that “season to date, The View is ranking No. 1 in households and total viewers among all network daytime talk shows and news programs for the fifth straight season.”
In response to Hostin's inquiry, however, Kirby did spill some details from the set of Avengers: Doomsday, which sees Robert Downey, Jr. return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Dr. Doom, after his Tony Stark/Iron Man character died in 2019's Avengers: Endgame.
The View co-host Joy Behar casually mentioned that the show is about to go on “hiatus,” prompting viewers to question whether it might be canceled.
“ Marjorie Taylor Greene said that she doesn’t accept Trump’s handling of the Epstein case,” Behar said. “ Tucker Carlson, Steve Bannon, Charlie Kirk have all taken aim over Epstein. Joe Rogan: ‘They can lie about all kinds of things, where’s the Epstein files?'”
