Teagan Kavan's grandmother died Saturday morning, but the Texas pitcher helped the Longhorns stay perfect at the Women's College World Series.

Texas gets its revenge. After falling to the Sooners in the Championship Series a year ago, and being swept in Norman this season, Texas shuts down the OU offense and wins 4-2. Texas connected on homers in the 5th and 6th innings, whil ethe OU bats went cold, with the Sooners shutout for the last five innings of the game.

Pitcher Teagan Kavan and 3B Joley Mitchell helped the Longhorns beat nemesis Oklahoma to stay perfect in the Women’s College World Series.

Joley Mitchell homered twice and Teagen Kavan threw a two-hit shutout as Texas defeated Florida 3-0 in the opening game of the Women’s College World Series.
