Southwest Airlines has made a number of unpopular moves over the past several months and weeks, highlighted by the airline's decision to end its longstanding "bags fly free" policy. Now, the airline has made yet another unpopular decision.

Today marks the final day Southwest Airlines customers can take advantage of the carrier’s long-standing “Two Bags Fly Free” policy.

Starting with flights booked on May 28, Southwest will now charge $35 for the first checked bag and $45 for the second, The Wall Street Journal reported. It was the only major carrier that allowed free checked baggage, The New York Times reported.
