Sonoma County's emergency responders had a busy cleanup day after the storm. Tuesday's heavy rainfall led to flooded roads, mud and landslides and water rescues.

The Russian River in Sonoma Couty reached moderate flood stage Wednesday and was expected to peak. People in low-lying areas were told to evacuate last night, but some residents have stayed put and are now stuck in their homes waiting for the water to subside.

The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday evening issued an evacuation order for low lying areas along the Russian River, the office announced just before 6 p.m.
