Palmeiras beat Al Ahly at the Fifa Club World Cup after play was suspended for around 40 minutes in the second half because of "severe weather".

In today's Group A match at the Club World Cup, Palmeiras defeated Al Ahly 2-0 thanks to two goals scored in the first 10 minutes of the second half. At 49', the advantage came from an own goal by Wessam Abou Ali, who unfortunately deflected a cross from Aníbal Moreno into his own net.
