Skydiving plane was ‘moments into flight’ when it crashed, critically injuring 3
Three people remain in critical condition and several others are also hospitalized after a skydiving plane carrying 15 crashed near an airport in Gloucester County on Wednesday evening. Fourteen occupants were hurt, with injuries ranging from critical to minor, officials said. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Skydive Cross Keys said in a statement that the aircraft developed "mechanical issues" at roughly 3,000 feet after takeoff.
The plane was current on all scheduled maintenance and had recently undergone a routine FAA inspection, authorities said.
