A Delta Air Lines pilot previously based out of a Bay Area city was arrested Saturday upon landing at San Francisco International Airport and booked into a Contra Costa County jail on charges of sexually assaulting a child.

Rustom Bhagwagar remained held on $5 million bail early Monday afternoon on suspicion of several sex crimes, the sheriff’s office said.

Federal agents and sheriff's deputies stormed the cockpit of a Delta Airlies flight from Minneapolis to San Francisco over the weekend and arrested the co-pilot on child sexual assault charges, authorities said.
