McCaffrey has dealt with many injuries throughout his career, but fortunately, has come back from them in a big way for the 49ers in recent years. He missed most of 2024 due to injuries, but that was after he played in a bulk of games for the 49ers in 2022 and 2023.

The 49ers and their fans are hoping star RB Christian McCaffrey can get up to full speed before season starts Jordan Mason and Isaac Guerendo each averaged at least 5.0 yards per carry in 2024-25, but a deep backfield cannot replicate the invaluable versatility the 2023 Offensive Player of the Year provides.

Back in the 2023 season, McCaffrey showcased what kind of player he's capable of being when healthy. He played in 16 regular seasons, carrying the football 272 times for 1,459 yards and 14 touchdowns. He averaged 5.4 yards per carry. In addition, he caught 67 passes for 564 yards and seven more scores.
