Seven San Antonio Police Department officers were shot while responding to a call Wednesday night and the suspect was found dead after an hourslong standoff, officials said.

Seven San Antonio police officers were shot by a barricaded suspect Wednesday night, the city's police chief said.

They were shot on Wednesday night while responding to a suicide in progress on the far North Side near Stone Oak Parkway.
