Ryder Cup 2025: Rory McIlory helping Euro newbie Rasmus Hojgaard tie a tie is the most charming Ryder Cup moment so far
Rory McIlroy won’t be a popular fella at Bethpage Black this week. He’s the elder statesman of Team Europe. He’s spent much of the build-up talking trash. U.S. captain Keegan Bradley will likely ride the top guys for most of the tournament, which many past European captains have done with much success. Bethpage Black provides a physical challenge that will make it tough for most players to compete in all five sessions, but even if the majority of the top guys play in four, the U.S. should be good.
MacIntyre went 2-0-1 in his Ryder Cup debut and the way he played late this year suggests he’s very likely to repeat that type of effort here. Matched up against Collin Morikawa — who really struggled to get results this season — is a bet I want to make, especially being Morikawa has just a half point from two singles matches.
