The Astros have discussed a deal that would send reliever Ryan Pressly to the Cubs, but a source told MLB.com that Pressly has yet to waive his no-trade clause despite a report that a trade was “on the verge” of being completed Thursday night.

Pressly, who served as Houston's primary closer from 2020-23, will make $14 million in 2025 and has a full no-trade clause.

4:46pm: Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports that Pressly has not agreed to waive his no-trade clause to this point. According to Rome, while the Astros are shopping Pressly, a deal is not considered imminent. The veteran righty would obviously need to approve a trade for anything to get across the finish line.
