SAN DIEGO (AP) — Comic-Con got a lot of Ryan and a little bit of Rocky at a panel on “Project: Hail Mary,” the forthcoming film that’s equal parts space adventure, real-science deep-dive, broad comedy and relationship drama.

“Project Hail Mary” hits theaters on March 20. With it, Lord and Miller are helming their first film since 2014’s “22 Jump Street” (they’ve otherwise kept busy by producing Sony Animation’s “Spider-Verse” trilogy, “Cocaine Bear,” “The Mitchells vs. the Machines” and more).

The sci-fi drama "Project Hail Mary" debuted its first 5 minutes of a freaked-out Ryan Gosling at Comic-Con, plus showed a glimpse of alien pal Rocky.
