A Bangladesh Air Force fighter jet on a routine training mission experienced a mechanical failure and crashed into the Milestone School and College campus in the nation's capital city of Dhaka Monday. The crash, and the resulting blaze, killed at least 27 people, 25 of whom were children.

The F-7 BGI jet took off from the local Air Force base "as part of a routine training mission" before crashing into Milestone School and College.

DHAKA, July 22, 2025 (BSS) – The death toll in the Air Force (BAF) FT-7 fighter aircraft crash into a Milestone School building in Uttara soared to 31 while the number of injured was 165. The Inter Services Public Relations Directorate disclosed this in a press release today.
