The Las Vegas Raiders and Pete Carroll have reached an agreement for the veteran coach to become the franchise's head coach on a three-year deal with a fourth-year team option, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The Las Vegas Raiders brought their head coaching search to an end on Friday, hiring former Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll to lead the team on a three-year contract, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Pete Carroll was out of football last season. Seemingly retired from coaching after 40 years in the NFL. As such, he took on a new role — college professor. It was announced last December he would be co-teaching a course at USC Marshall called ‘Game is Life’. Six weeks later, he was back in the NFL as head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders.
