The UConn women’s basketball team extended its Big East win streak to 38 consecutive games with one of its best offensive showings of the season, routing Butler 101-59 on Sunday in front of a sold-out crowd at the XL Center.

Butler (12-12, 2-9) was led by Kilyn McGuff’s 17 points, including her 1,000th career point early in the second half. Riley Makalusky added 10 points for the Bulldogs, who struggled with turnovers, allowing UConn to score 25 points off 15 first-half giveaways.

The game remained competitive early, with DePaul closing the gap to 23-20 in the second quarter. However, UConn responded with a 17-4 run to seize control by halftime.
