Hundreds of people participated in a “No Kings” protest in downtown Baton Rouge on Saturday, June 14. The protestors filled the area of North 4th Street and North Street to make their voices heard. The people carried signs with many different messages.

On a day typically reserved for celebration and patriotic reflection, a group of Baton Rouge residents used Flag Day to issue a bold message: America is not a monarchy.

"This is very much a satirical response to Donald Trump's $100 million tax-funded military parade that makes him feel big, special and important," organizers said.
