"Kodai Senga is injured," MLB .com's Anthony DiComo reported. "He took a fall at first base attempting to beat a runner to the bag, and he spent a long time down on the ground surrounded by coaches and trainers."

Kodai Senga’s hamstring strain is Grade 1, the least severe, meaning the right-hander will be shut down for about the next two weeks before being re-evaluated and ramped up to return.

Some speculated whether he would have to undergo surgery, but his recovery has seemed to go smoothly which puts him in position to make his season debut at Yankee Stadium.

Megill notched a 1.73 ERA in April but jumped to a 5.96 mark in May and had a 4.91 mark in June ahead of Saturday's start against the Tampa Bay Rays. The struggles continued for the 29-year-old, as he coughed up six runs (three earned) on seven hits across 3.2 innings pitched. The Mets lost 8-4.
