Voice of CT's Bridgeport Islanders hockey team heading to NHL
According to Newsday Sports, Fuehring will be the new radio play-by-play voice for the New York Islanders. Fuehring has been the director of broadcasting and communication for the Islanders' AHL affiliate in Bridgeport. Fuehring has been doing play by play in Bridgeport since 2016. He filled in for his first New York Islanders' game in 2021.
The Islanders' key to success in 2025-26 is not Bo Horvat, but instead Mathew Barzal, who will be trusted with his own line.
