Another afternoon of heavy rainfall has prompted flash flooding in the southern New Mexico mountain village of Ruidoso.

After last week's flooding in parts of New Mexico, the risk will continue over burn scars and low-lying and poor drainage areas.

A flash flood watch has been issued across portions of New Mexico on Monday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. The watch is expected to expire at 10 p.m. on Tuesday.
