RENO, Nev. (AP) — A gunman opened fire Monday outside the largest casino in Reno, Nevada, killing three people and wounding three others before being taken into custody, officials said.
Three people were killed and two were critically injured when an unidentified gunman randomly opened fire Monday morning at a crowd and motorist outside a Reno casino, according to authorities. The suspect in the shooting at the Grand Sierra Resort was taken into custody and transported to a hospital after being wounded in what the Reno Police Department called an officer-involved shooting.
The gunman shot five people at a valet area, fired at a resort security guard, who wasn’t injured, and then fatally shot someone driving by before police shot him, authorities said.
