Both the Missouri House and Senate passed a bill that will help finance stadiums for both the Royals and the Kansas City Chiefs, should those teams choose to remain on the east side of State Line Road.

Missouri lawmakers have approved hundreds of millions of dollars of incentives to try to persuade the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals to keep playing in Missouri.

The Royals and Chiefs saluted the Missouri House on Wednesday after approval of a stadium-incentives package. But neither organization committed to remaining in the Show-Me State. The teams issued statements soon after the plan passed 90-58 in the Missouri House.
