Authorities say the driver died when the car crashed into the Manhasset Quaker Meeting House on Northern Blvd. near Onderdonk Ave.

A person was killed after their car crashed into a historic Manhasset building and burst into flames early Thursday, causing street closures, authorities said. Around 5:41 a.m., fire officials received a 911 call reporting a motor vehicle that crashed into the Society of Friends Meeting House at 1421 Northern Blvd.

The white hatchback veered off Northern Blvd. near Shelter Rock Road in Manhasset and slammed into the Manhasset Friends Meeting House.
