Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars won best pop duo/group performance at the 2025 Grammy Awards for their song "Die With a Smile" during the ceremony in Los Angeles on Feb. 2.

The awards show, in a departure from the tone of other recent ceremonies and as the first such event during Donald Trump's second term, featured a number of comments about immigration and tariffs.

“It’s such an honor to sing for all of you. I just want to say tonight that trans people are not invisible,” Gaga said, drawing a standing ovation. “Trans people deserve love. The queer community deserves to be lifted up. Music is love. Thank you.”
