Ready-to-eat chicken fettuccine Alfredo meals sold at Walmart and Kroger have been recalled after a listeria outbreak that has led to 17 illnesses including three deaths and one fetal loss.

Manufacturer FreshRealm issued a voluntary recall of some ready-to-eat chicken fettuccine Alfredo meals sold nationwide that are linked to a listeria outbreak.

Listeria monocytogenes can be mild in healthy adults, but during pregnancy, it can cause miscarriage, stillbirth, premature delivery, or a severe infection in newborns.
