The Dolphins are taking a look at a veteran running back. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Jamaal Williams is working out with Miami on Monday. Williams, 30, spent the last two seasons with the Saints after a pair of seasons with the Lions. He rushed for 164 yards with a touchdown and caught nine passes for 57 yards in 14 games last season.

Should Williams be signed in the coming days, he would join a group of 18 other fellow former Cougars in NFL training camps. If he did in fact sign with Miami, he would be teammates with former BYU quarterback Zach Wilson, who is currently the Dolphins’ QB2.

According to Schefter, the Dolphins are set to work out free agent running back Jamaal Williams today. Williams last played for the New Orleans Saints in 2024, finishing the year with a pedestrian 164 yards on 48 carries and a touchdown.
