The BriefFamily members say the body of missing teen Giovanni Pelletier has been found in Florida.The 18-year-old from North Carolina went missing on Aug. 1 on the way to visit relatives in Brevard County.

The Manatee County Sheriff has preliminarily identified the body found in a retention pond off I-75 and State Road 70 as missing 18-year-old Giovanni Pelletier. Positive identification and a cause of death are still pending with autopsy results,

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. ( WWSB /Gray News) - An 18-year-old vacationing in Florida texted for help before going missing, according to his family. Giovonni Pelletier, 18, was last seen around 1:30 a.m. on Friday walking away from a vehicle near State Road 70 in Manatee County, while traveling north on I-75, according to the sheriff.
