Gian Piero Gasperini has been named Roma’s new coach, taking over for the retiring Claudio Ranieri following his own successful run at Atalanta.

Gian Piero Gasperini will replace the retired Claudio Ranieri, who finished fifth in the standings last season to qualify for the Europa League, a trophy Gasperini won with his previous club.
