Emma Meesseman is officially returning to WNBA action. The New York Liberty’s newest addition will suit up tonight against the Connecticut Sun, a much-needed reinforcement as Breanna Stewart remains sidelined without a clear return timetable.

Sabrina Ionescu first double-double of the season and Emma Meesseman's awaited debut helped end the Liberty's longest losing streak in three calendar years, as New York avenged a Friday defeat to the Connecticut Sun with an 87-78 victory on Sunday at Mohegan Sun Arena.

New York, which is riddled with injuries, got a lift from Emma Meesseman in her Liberty debut. The Belgium star, who spent most of the first half settling in, finished with a modest 11 points, two rebounds and three assists in her first WNBA game since 2022. Jonquel Jones added 21 points and nine rebounds.
