Roman Anthony signed a $130 million extension to secure his future with the Red Sox. That could pave the way for Jarren Duran to head out of Boston.

His efforts have gone far from unnoticed, and on Wednesday, ESPN’s Jeff Passan reported that the Red Sox signed him to an eight-year, $130 million extension that will run through the 2034 season.

After the Red Sox's 8-5 win, Duran spoke on camera about the trade deadline for the first time in an on-field interview with NESN's Tom Caron. Caron asked him what his message would be to the fans who were happy to see him stick around.
