On Monday evening, the Detroit Pistons beat the New York Knicks (at Madison Square Garden) by a score of 100-94. The first-round series is now tied up at 1-1 with Game 3 on Thursday night in Detroit.

The Pistons’ second unit outscored New York’s 35-8 and nobody was more clutch off the bench than Dennis Schroder. The 12-year veteran guard acquired at the trade deadline from Golden State hit a 3-pointer with 56 seconds remaining to snap a 94-94 tie. He then made 1-of-2 free throws with eight seconds left to give Detroit a four-point lead.

The only series in the East to be 1-1 heading into Game 3 resumes on Thursday, April 24 with the Detroit Pistons hosting the New York Knicks at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.
