The Cincinnati Bengals have dipped into the free-agency market to add a quarterback to their ranks. The Cincinnati Bengals have reached an agreement with free agent quarterback Desmond Ridder, who brings NFL experience from stints with the Las Vegas Raiders, Arizona Cardinals (practice squad), and Atlanta Falcons.
Another former Cardinals, linebacker Jesse Luketa, who spent three years with the Cardinals and was drafted by them in the seventh round in 2022 out of Penn State, had a tryout with the Dallas Cowboys, according to Cards Wire's Howard Balzer.
During minicamp, the Indianapolis Colts had quarterback Desmond Ridder in for a tryout. However, with training camp nearly upon us, Ridder will not be joining the Colts. Instead, he is signing with the Cincinnati Bengals,
Just over two months later, the 25-year-old quarterback has now agreed to sign with the Cincinnati Bengals. Ridder will now compete for the backup spot behind Joe Burrow with Jake Browning and Logan Woodside. Meanwhile, on the ex-Bronco front, pass rusher Jaylon Allen worked out for the Arizona Cardinals last week.
