Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy will face a compensation bill in the region of £4 million if he decides to sack Europa League-winning head coach Ange Postecoglou.

Postecoglou led Spurs to their first piece of silverware since 2008 with a 1-0 victory over Manchester United in the all-English Europa League final last month. Though that success in Bilbao - which was celebrated with an open-top bus parade in north London two days later - may not be enough for the Australian tactician to keep his job.

Daniel Levy has been told not to go back to square one with Tottenham by sacking "big mouth" Ange Postecoglou. The Spurs chairman is set to decide on what comes next for the Australian and his coaching team after a season which finally brought a trophy after 17 years of waiting but also a 17th-place finish in the Premier League as Postecoglou prioritised the Europa League once injuries and some poor performances derailed the domestic campaign.
