Ex-Tropical Cyclone Errol hits the Kimberley coast as a tropical low, bringing potential heavy rainfall as the system moves inland in Western Australia's far north.

Tropical Cyclone Errol is offshore about 500km northwest of Broome and is beginning to track towards the West Australian coast, expected to bear down on the Easter weekend.

The sea surface temperatures surrounding Cyclone Errol are exceptionally warm, hovering around 30-31°C—well above the 26.5°C threshold required for tropical development.
