The Arizona Diamondbacks continue their homestand with a game against the St. Louis Cardinals and a series against the Houston Astros.

Infielder Shay Whitcomb was optioned to Triple-A Sugar Land following Houston’s game Wednesday in a corresponding roster move. Walker was placed on the paternity list Monday. A player can spend up to three days on MLB’s paternity list, leading the Astros to reinstate him on Thursday’s off-day.
