Miguel Vargas and Mike Tauchman hit back-to-back homers in a four-run first inning, and the Chicago White Sox cruised to a 7-2 victory over the struggling Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday for their first series sweep this season.

Vargas also hit his 25th double of the year and finished the three-game series against the Pirates with four extra-base hits.

Chicago relievers Tyler Gilbert (3-1), Steven Wilson, Brandon Eisert, Jordan Leasure and Wikelman Gonzalez held the Pirates scoreless over the final 4 2/3 innings.
