Andrew Vaughn was slumping as badly as just about any hitter in baseball for the first two months of the season before the Chicago White Sox sent him to the minors and eventually traded him to the Milwaukee Brewers.

In the month-plus since, Civale has improved slightly to claim his spot in the starting rotation. Vaughn has turned into prime Manny Ramirez.

Vaughn made the Opening Day roster with the White Sox in 2021 and hit .235 with 15 home runs and 48 RBI. He hit 57 home runs over the next three seasons, including 21 in 2023, when he also drove in 80 runs. He struggled in the early part of 2025 and was sent to the minors before the White Sox traded him to the Brewers.
