Thailand has accused Cambodia of violating a ceasefire agreement reached on Monday after days of deadly clashes along their disputed border, but negotiations between the two sides will continue.

A ceasefire agreed between Thailand and Cambodia took effect at midnight (1700 GMT Monday), temporarily halting heavy fighting along their shared border, though Thai authorities reported violations by Cambodian forces in several areas just hours later.

While Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim successfully mediated the peace talks, US President Donald Trump has taken credit for brokering the deal.
