SAN FRANCISCO – Bryce Eldridge, the Giants’ 20-year-old power-hitting top prospect, could reach the major league team before the end of the season. During an interview Thursday on KNBR (680 AM), Buster Posey, the Giants’ president of baseball operations, raved about Eldridge’s recent form at the plate.

KNBR hosts Brian Murphy and Markus Boucher didn’t let it go, though, asking Posey three questions about Eldridge. Murphy asked Posey directly if Eldridge is forcing Posey’s hand with his play, as he seems ready to “kick down the door” to San Francisco.

The San Francisco Giants' playoff odds are dwindling. Does that mean there's nothing left to accomplish in the first season of the Buster Posey era? Of course not.
