The Phillies called up Otto Kemp from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to replace Harper. Kemp, 25, is making his major league debut on June 7 against the Pirates. The non-drafted free agent had been one of the International League's top hitters this season, with 14 home runs, 55 RBIs, 11 stolen bases and a .313 batting average.

The scuffling Philadelphia Phillies suffered a blow Saturday when they placed first baseman Bryce Harper on the 10-day injured list because of right wrist inflammation before their game against the Pirates.

Philadelphia Phillies manager Rob Thomson provided an injury update on Bryce Harper, saying he's day-to-day and that the team doesn't know the full extent of the injury.
