Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young was hoping the team would reach out to him for a new extension this summer.

Luka Dončić landed a three-year, $165 million extension with the Los Angeles Lakers this summer, while De'Aaron Fox inked a four-year, $229 million extension with the San Antonio Spurs.

There are no plans for Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks to engage in extension talks, according to NBA insider Jake Fischer of The Stein Line.  Young is eligible for a four-year, $229 million extension.
