Former Minnesota Vikings linebacker and four-time Pro Bowler Anthony Barr is set to retire from the NFL, his nonprofit organization Raise The Barr announced Monday. Barr, 33, spent nine of his 10 NFL seasons with the Vikings after being selected ninth overall in the 2014 NFL Draft out of UCLA.

EAGAN, Minn. -- Linebacker Anthony Barr is planning to retire after spending most of his career with the Minnesota Vikings, he announced on social media Tuesday. Barr, 33, last played in 2023.

Linebacker Anthony Barr has retired. The ninth overall pick in 2014 (who was taken while Aaron Donald was still on the board), Barr became a four-time Pro Bowl. He spent eight years in Minnesota, before playing for the Cowboys in 2022. He returned to the Vikings in 2023. Barr didn't play in 2024.
